Superb survivors - Survivors won't hit zombies. As explained in the title, I found about 4 survivors in the middle of ravens creek. I managed to get all of them to join my group but a horde of zombies had encircled us. I handed them a weapon each but they just stood there and got eaten while I ran away to try drag them with me.

By default there's unique survivors that always spawn in certain locations. I turn that off tho cuz I don't like it. Otherwise the best way I found is just driving around looking for some people wildly fleeing zombies or having a shootout like madmen. Right click anywhere then you'll see an option called set area something, there's a choice called set base area click it then use left click and drag all over your place, even though the area isn't highlighted it is working then once you're done right click once again, select set area, then click base area and click set.

If it can be helped, destroy the stairs and use sheet ropes to gain access to higher levels. For some reason, sleeping in your base with NPCs sometimes causes them to randomly die if they climb stairs in the area.
